[It's times like these a filter would come in handy, but give William a break. He's only just managed to master the art of actually using the weird futuristic device. Figuring out privacy settings... a bit beyond him.]

Mr. Paddy? [William looks as polite and earnest as he can.] Thank you very much for the pizza. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

[He glances down, a bit embarrassed.]

The thing is... I'm still hungry. Very hungry, actually. [And not for more pizza. William's not sure what he wants, just that he sometimes catches a whiff of something... delicious and confusing around other people.] The pizza was good, but do you have anything more filling? [He adds hastily.] If you please.

[ooc: Guess what tiny vampire is craving blood? It's unlikely he'll actually attack anyone, or if they do, he'll probably be pretty easy to fend off, but his fangs may come out, which will be... awkward all around.]

Well, I'm sure I can make you somethin' up, if you're still hungry.

What do you like to eat at home?

I'd really like meat. I don't know what you have, but perhaps rabbit, or venison?

Don't have any of those, but... got some beef? That sound alright?

Yes, of course, thank you.

Come down in about... ten minutes, and I'll have somethin' for you. It'll be nice, promise.

Yes, sir. Thank you.

[And promptly ten minutes later, he arrives in the kitchens!]

[Paddy's there, half cleaning up from earlier, and spots the little blond kid. He's cooked him a steak and chips, fairly sure that should be enough for him.]

Hey, kid. Is that alright? [He didn't want anyone to go hungry.] If it's too rare, I can do it some more or somethin'.

[William can smell the blood in the steak all too clearly, and his nostrils flare slightly as he breathes in. It smells... good. He's never really been one for particularly rare steaks, but right now all he wants to do is rush forward and devour the steak. For a moment, he imagines sucking it dry, but that isn't how a person eats. Mother would be ashamed. Instead, he smiles politely and nods. Of course, the politeness of the smile is a little overshadowed by the way his face has gone all wrinkly, and how his fangs have just come out in reaction to the scent of blood. William hasn't really noticed, though.]

No, it looks delicious. Thank you.

[He sits down and grabs a knife and a fork.]

[Paddy stared in surprise. That... couldn't have just happened, could it? Kiddy vampires? How did that work? He went over to sit with him,]

Say, is there an adult around here that's lookin' after you, or what? [He was hoping if he could find out who this person was, he could at least figure out that vampire thing.]

[William shook his head.] There was a lady who called herself the Wicked Witch of the West who said she wouldn't babysit me, but besides that no one's stepped forward.

Wicked witc... [ooooooooh. He put two and two together. Problem was, he couldn't remember who her inmate was. His memory sucked.]

Alright. I'll have words with some folks and find someone to help out. Until then, you can come find me. I'll be down here, or in my room - 10 on the eighth floor. Remember that, yeah?

[William shakes his head.] It's all right. I've been the man of the house ever since Father died. [He frowns.] I don't know how Mother'll carry on without me. She does worry.

[He starts eating his steak with vigor.]

[Oh, dead fathers. This flood knows how to touch nerves, doesn't it? He frowns a little,]

Don't worry, kid, you'll go home soon, and you can go right back to helping your mum out.

[No, he can't, his mother is deeeead and Spike killed her twice. ...but William doesn't know any of that.]

Really? How do you know?

[He nodded,]

Because this kind of thing has happened before, and everyone goes right back home.

I still don't understand. What is this thing? How did I get here? And... the technology, and people who claim to be from the future!

It's a big ass spaceship. [He didn't quite get the time difference thing here.] If I knew how you got here, kid, I'd send you home right now, but... yeah. I don't.

Oh. Thanks all the same. [This man seems too nice to be a kidnapper, or in league or anything, and anyway, he's the man with the food. It pays to be polite. Though speaking of which, he's finished the food now. His fangs slip back in, and he's still hungry, though the meat helped more than the pizza had.]

[He nodded, still perturbed by those fangs,]

I don't suppose you've got a nickname, do you?

Will, or Willie sometimes. Why?

Just wonderin'. People call me Paddy, see? [Quick, quick, justify your question.] Which do you prefer?

William. [He glances down at the plate and sighs.] Please, sir, I don't why, but I'm still hungry.

You serious?

[He paused, then got up, and went back to his kitchen. This was... a horrific thing to do, but it was worth a try. He picked up a bag of the blood and brought it back with him,]

That tempt you any?

[He looks disgusted for a moment.]

What? That's... is that...

[Then without further ado, he vamps out again and bites straight into it.]

[Paddy grimaces a little, because he was hoping this wasn't the case.] That better?

[William drains the bag very quickly, then drops it and looks horrified.]

Oh god...

[It is better, yes.]

[Paddy pauses, as he doesn't know what to say.]

It's okay. You're... you've just got a different kinda diet to other folks. Nothin' to worry about, there's plenty of stuff here for you. It ain't people, if that's what you're thinking.

[Not that he knew. But he wasn't going to tell a kid anything like that.]

I've had black pudding before, but that was... how did I even bite it?

You've just got... real fancy talents. With your teeth. [Paddy shrugs. How do you explain this to a kid?]

[William just shakes his head miserably.] God, this is a nightmare.
