[The fact that she was thinking about how she'd just slept with Angel doesn't bother him at all. No, that's not sarcasm, he's seriously fine.]

[ooc: so I finally settled on jealousy as what's changing about Spike, especially when it comes to Angel, but all over, really. He just plain isn't worried about it.]

Yeah. It's a valid and productive part of my day. There's the staring, then the gazing, then the daydreaming.. And then? The looking.

[Spike sounds amused.]

[And a few moments later, there's a knock on her door.]

[And she opens the door wordlessly and steps back to let him in. She's wearing something comfortable, and sporting quite a smirk on her face. Buffy shuts the door behind him.]

Y'know, I'm thinking about getting a different room. Make it different. As much as I love the trip down nostalgia lane, it's getting a little old I think.

[Spike walks in and looks around, then shrugs.] I'm sure the Admiral'd do it if you asked. Not feeling all too nostalgic right now, then?

No thanks, had enough of nostalgia with the flood. [Little smile.] I never really spent all that much time in my old room. Now that I'm doing that staring thing a lot? A change of scenery might do me good.

[He watches her carefully.] That bad, huh? [He walks over to her.] I know how hard that year was on you. I was there, remember?

[Buffy lets out a sound resembling a quiet sigh.] I don't really think you can know.

Still, where I went back to, not all bad. That was before the soul-crushing pain. Like, right before.

Yeah, losing your virginity, not all bad without knowing the boy went bad the next morning. [He winces a little.] Sorry about, you know, telling you that.

[Slow nod, then a reassuring smile.] Not to worry. It's not like I was in the running for nicest Slayer in the world. You handled it okay.

[Buffy moves to sit on her bed.] I think I really need to start writing things down again with all the crazy that happens here. I used to keep a diary.

[Spike sits next to her, one arm behind her, though he's not touching her, just turned towards her.] You thought I was your enemy. That I managed to talk you out of putting something wooden through me was a victory, as far as I'm concerned.

Angel mentioned that, I think. When'd you stop?

[Buffy smirked a little at that.] It's funny. I never staked you all those years. Even when I had the chance to.

[Siiiigh.] My last entry was pretty much an ode to evil boyfriends.

[Spam!]

[bigbad]

Had a few of those, haven't you? [He doesn't sound judgmental or upset. He's just stating a fact.]

I do appreciate that, you know. I really prefer a non-dusty look. [He looks at her softly.] I never bit you, either. And my mouth's been on your neck a time or two.

Different kinds of evil. [Shrug.]

Well, you sorta did, but you were experiencing the joys of evil brainwashing.

Oh, please, that wasn't a bite. That was hardly even a lick. And it let me snap out of the evil brainwashing so all and all, not so bad, huh? [He smirks triumphantly at her.]

[He gives her an amused look.] Finally caught on to that, have you?

[She just smiles at that.] Next time, can you be the flooded one and me be me?

Can't really pick that, unfortunately. But in this case? I'm glad it was you. Least you weren't killing.
